Field work

Agriculture contributes by 15 % to global climate change (warming). If we add to this the greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere because of changes in the use of the soil (deforestation...), this percentage increases to 30 or 40 %. The combination of reduced tillage and organic farming is a promising opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

What type of tillage is the most climate-friendly?

A certain number of tests and measures taken in recent years have shown that, in terms of conventional agriculture, the reduced tillage or direct sowing increased the humus content in the soil only a little.
